GREAT features about White Oak:
- The lodging will be motel style rooms. Each has a private bath. Linens, towels, soap and cups provided. Towels changed out each day. (Cheaper than a motel chain. A little more than CIU but no long, cold, dark treks to the bathroom at 2a.m.)
- All NEW furniture, bedspreads and curtains and freshly painted this May. Very FRESH and clean!
- Can sleep 2 to 4 with 2 double beds in most rooms. Optional roll-away beds available, too.
- Every room adjoins another (if you want), keeping as many as 8 friends together. All night slumber party???
- Check-IN times: Thursday after 6:30. (Teachers may check-in between 2 and 4 on Thursday.) Friday from 8 to 5 and Saturday 8 to 12.
- Check-OUT: By Sunday at 10am.
- Roommate: Need a Roommate? Write Sally. Specify things like light or no perfume, no snoring, like it hot, like it cold, etc.
- Conference center is just across the parking lot from the motel. Once in the conference center, attendees will be in air-conditioned space or under a breezeway-no worries when raining-for all classes, meals, vending, display/competition, and Tat & Chat.
- Meeting space is primarily on one level; an elevator accesses the lower floor, if needed; and ALL classrooms will have TABLES and PADDED CHAIRS! (Classrooms are a little more to rent but worth it!)
- NEW: There will be a canteen for attendees to purchase snacks and an all night vending area with microwave for that 2:00a.m. popcorn craving! Canteen Listing
- NEW: Internet Cafe for those that MUST check email.
Classroom building does have wireless internet, too.
- Many areas inside and out to Tat & Chat with couches and rockers galore.
- Beautiful, quiet, country setting. Fishing available-bring your own equipment.
- Need a special "Gluten Free" diet? Taken care of! Just note your needs on the registration form. And/or you can email Mary.
- No alcohol anywhere on campus, please. And smoking only in one outside designated area. Thank you.
