Golden Leaves

Level 2

Students will learn how to handle a lot of beads and follow a very simple pattern using one shuttle and ball.

Techniques: rings, split rings, chains, plus regular and lock joins.

Goals: to learn reading standard notation for Bead Tatting, and following both written patterns and diagrams, and not to be intimidated by the hundreds of beads needed for the projects.

The projects are designed to be finished in class, so this is an additional goal, and kits with beads already threaded will help.

KIT: A printed pattern for the project and beads already on the thread - $15

Materials: Students need to bring ONE empty shuttle without picks or crochet hooks on tips, and a separate crochet hook.

Needle Tatter Friendly. Be sure to ask for the Needle Tatting pattern in class.
