If a needle tatter wishes to take a shuttle only class or a shuttle tatter wishes to take a needle only class, note that the tatter will be on their own working the pattern. The teacher nor the teacher's aide will be able to assist you with your technique. Thank you for understanding.

Brand New Tatter: little or no tatting experience. Look for special Beginner classes just for you.
Level 1: knowledgeable and proficient with rings, chains, and joins. If not comfortable with rings, chains and joins yet, practice at Tat Days on Friday asking free tatters (not in classes) for assistance. Register for Level 1 classes on Saturday.
Level 2: knowledgeable and proficient with split rings, block tatting and comfortable working with beads.
Level 3: have mastered all the above skills and ready to try new techniques and creative tatting.

Anitra's Ice Angel (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Students will create a 2-shuttle tatted angel.

Skills Required: Rings, chains, joins, Split rings, using safety pins or paper clips to hold picots.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Split rings to turn corners, safety pin/paper clip to hold picots to start a round & on the core thread.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles (CTM is optional depending upon color choices), 2 safety pins/paper clips, fine hook for joining (beads & metallic thread optional). No Kit.

Carol's Daisy-Mae Bracelet (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Tat a beaded bracelet with rings and chains with goal of completing project
during class time.

Skills Required: Rings, chains, lock join, beaded picots, split ring

Methods or Techniques for Class: Use diagrams, written instructions, photos and examples in class to complete
the project.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Size 20 thread (your choice of color) approximately 7 yards. Wind thread CTM with 3 yards on shuttle1 and 4 yards on shuttle2.

Beads Kit-Optional: Cost for class participant $3 and for non-participant $4.
Each kit will have twelve beads ¼” in diameter, and a lobster claw bracelet finding. There will be four color choices. If you purchase your own beads and they are directional, the holes must be drilled from side to side and not top to bottom.

Donna's Wave Bracelet (L2) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: Make a fun bracelet. Color combinations are endless. Maybe shop in vending for thread and matching beads. Great in school colors-for doing The Wave at the games!

Skills Required: Rings and Picot Joins.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Split Rings and adding beads as you go to long picots.

Materials: 8 yards of thread and 170 beads that fit your thread. Sample is in size 20 thread. For the beads, the sample calls for 2 colors with 85 in each color. (Size 8, 10, or 11. Depends on your thread.)

Donna's Wave Bracelet Preparation: 2 shuttles wound Continuous Thread Method (CTM).
Thread: 4 yards thread on each shuttle.
Beads: 170 small beads. Sample calls for 2 colors with 85 in each color. (Size 8, 10, or 11. Depends on your thread.)
Pull off 4 yards of thread. DO NOT CUT thread from ball.
Shuttle 1: Put on 10 beads color ONE and 25 beads color TWO. Wind 1 yard on shuttle, slide 25 beads of color TWO up to shuttle, wind remaining thread onto shuttle keeping 10 beads color ONE close to starting point for first ring.
Pull off 4 more yards of thread. Cut from ball.
Shuttle 2: Put on 15 beads color ONE. Wind 1 yard on shuttle, slide beads onto shuttle, wind remaining thread.
Favorite type of Bracelet Clasp (Donna will have a few.)
Favorite tools for adding beads (floss threader or .5mm crochet hook)

Class Description and Objective: Make a fish! And bowl.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Use of split rings to climb from one round to another, regulation of chains.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Two shuttles wound CTM with thread of choice, one bead (4mm for size 20 or size 40 thread, 2mm for size 80) paper clip

Class Description and Objective: Practice those split rings with this quick and easy ornament cover. You can give Phil the Phish a home or insert the doodads of your choice.

Skills Required: Split rings, rings thrown off split rings, beaded picots

Methods or Techniques for Class: Split rings, rings thrown off rings, beaded picots, rudimentary sewing

Materials Needed and Preparation: 3 inch ornament, 2 shuttles wound CTM with #20 thread and 54 beads strung on Shuttle 2, plus another 180 delica beads (a small tube is way more than enough) beading needle. No Kit.

Georgia's Cluny Looms (L1) (S&N)

Several looms will be shown in class.

Class Description and Objective: A study of various cluny tatting looms.

Skills Required: Tatter must know basic tatting skills.

Methods or Techniques for Class: To learn how to make a cluny or to improve your cluny skills.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles or needle and 3 colors of thread. Large thread like size 20.

Required Kit: $3 with assorted looms.
An optional larger loom may be available for an additional purchase in vending.

Georgia's Demystifying Vintage Patterns (L2) (S&N)

Vintage Tatting

Class Description and Objective: Understanding vintage patterns. This class will be of interest to tatting historians and those who are helping to preserve vintage tatting patterns.

Skills Required: Basic tatting skills.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Reading old patterns.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles or needle with 1 or 2 colors of thread. Size 20 suggested.
Paper, pen, and magnifying glass will be helpful.
No Kit.

Class Description and Objective: Cluny flower with hairpin lace by Dagmar

Skills Required: Tatter must know basic tatting skills and be comfortable making clunies.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Will learn about a "hanging" cluny.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles or needle and 2 colors of thread. Large thread like size 20 suggested. May use a cluny loom.
No Kit.

HOMEWORK: Make the lace center of the flower with 28 loops. Total piece width, size 20 thread, 1/2" to 1".
Can make faux HP Lace with split rings.
Tat a split ring with 4 long loops on top and 4 shorter loops on the bottom: R 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 / 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 clr. Repeat 6x so you have 28 loops.

Georgia's Cluny Bookmark (L1) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: Cluny bookmark

Skills Required: Tatter must know basic tatting skills and familiar with making clunies.
Could take Georgia's Cluny Looms class and learn simple clunies to be ready for this bookmark class.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Brush up and improve cluny skills.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles or needle with 1 or 2 colors of thread. Size 20 suggested. Cluny loom optional.
No Kit.

HOMEWORK: Prepare a small tassel for the bottom of the bookmark.

Georgia's Weird Join (L1) (S&N)

Tatting Joins

Class Description and Objective: Make a weird join.

Skills Required: Basic tatting skills.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Weird join.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles or needle with 1 or 2 colors of thread. Size 20 suggested.
No Kit.

HOMEWORK: Prepare the first five rings of the center of the motif.

Karey's Leaping Lambies - For Everyone. Early Bird Saturday at 6:30am.

Class Description and Objective: If you’ve seen young lambs frolicking in a spring meadow, you know there’s nothing more joyful and few baby animals are more fun to watch. They can be fun to tat as well! They get dimensional with lots of picots, and your lamb can be a dignified singleton or gambol with a colorful flock.

Skills Required: Familiarity with block tatting is helpful but not essential.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Front-side/back side tatting are important to keep the fleecy curls on the front side of the lamb. We will also explore roll tatting and heads-in chains.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Two shuttles wound with the thread of your choice, CTM. Or, if you wish to make a bi-colored lambie, wind two shuttles with the colors of your choice and you can work the tail ends into the first CH. No Kit.

Karey's Heavenly Tails (L1) (S&N)
A Mixture of different types of tails.

Class Description and Objective: You have a pretty motif but you don’t want to sew it onto anything - why not turn it into a bookmark as the Tatting Goddess (Regina Brummett) often did? This class presents six quick-moving and less usual ways to create a tail for your bookmark that can be as pretty as the motif itself.

Skills Required: comfortable with rings and chains

Methods or Techniques for Class: Students will learn spiral chain, mock cluny, pearl tatting, “wiggle” or zig-zag chain, lock chain and a Celtic chain

Materials Needed and Preparation: If possible, bring an assortment of pre-made motifs to class – hearts, medallions or the sample motif (provided in instructions with pre-class preparations) – at least three, six would be better. If you don’t have motifs, an assortment of six felt bookmarks will be available as a kit. Bring at least two shuttles and size 10 or 20 thread - the same as your motif; if getting a kit, then colors of your choice.
Shuttles may be wound in class.

Optional Kit: $2. Various colors. Felt bookmarks.

Homework: 3 to 6 small motifs to attach tails. Or felt bookmarks.

Karey's Pendant Necklace (L2) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: Practice split rings set off in an easy use of beads to create a sturdy tatted necklace to set off a pendant or (jewelry) donut. This is an unusual necklace you won’t see every day!

Skills Required: knowledge of split rings or a willingness to learn them

Methods or Techniques for Class: The necklace uses split rings, lock chains and beads to create an interesting and strong neck-chain.

Materials Needed and Preparation: E beads (96) threaded on size 5 thread or size 8 beads (108) threaded on size 10 thread plus a focal pendant of your choice. Bring one with you – there will also be a limited number available at cost in the sales room.

Optional Kit-purchase in vending (not with registration): $2 or $3. A limited number of pendants/donuts.

Karey's Prayer Pouch (L2) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: An open mesh bag to wear like a necklace is created with zig-zag chains, lined with felt and finished with a pretty button. Completed with a decorative ring and chain handle, it can carry messages, reminders, affirmations – or mad-money. The finished bag is a little smaller than a credit card.

Skills Required: Knowledge of split rings is helpful, but will also be taught/refreshed to those who need a split ring boost. The ST (switch threads/shoelace trick) is used to change the direction of the chains.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Techniques used in this pattern include split rings, lock chain, split chain, and balanced double stitch

Materials Needed and Preparation: Two strands of size 20 thread, held together (these may be complementary colors, one variegated, the other a related solid, or two of the same color) are wound on two shuttles, CTM. A crochet hook for joins is helpful. Alternatively, you could use size 10 thread wound on two shuttles CTM for a smaller pouch.
A decorative button and a small piece of felt, plus a sewing needle. No Kit.

Karey's Mock Cluny Star (L1) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: If you love the look of Clunies but you’ve longed for a short-cut, this method of using groups of chains could be for you. Here they make a festive star, ornamented with beads.

Skills Required: Rings and chains

Methods or Techniques for Class: Managing beads on ball thread and shuttle

Materials Needed and Preparation: Thread 42 (plus a few extras) seed beads on size 20 thread. Wind a shuttle halfway, with 14 seed beads (the first 9 near the front) leave the rest on the ball thread. No Kit.

Linda's Trillium Flower (L2) (S&N)
Inverted tatting is not hard, the shaping can be challenging. This will be talked about in class.

Class Description and Objective:
To make rounded and pointed shapes with inverted tatting resulting in a recognizable motif.

Skills Required: Ring, chain, measuring and shaping to printed forms.
Methods or Techniques for Class: Ring, Chain, Inverted Tatting, Lock Stitch, Patience

Materials Needed and Preparation: CTM of 2 or colors (shuttle-ball) or 3rd color if you want center of the flower to be a different color. No Kit.

Marie's Everybody Needs an Angel. Thursday evening at 6:00. FUN for ALL!

Marie likes size 10 thread but any size is fine. Bring white thread or color of your choice, 2 shuttles or needle. We will have beads and more white thread.

Marilyn's Ring Only Wreath (L1 (S)

Class Description and Objective: A rings only wreath based on the Hen & Chickens pattern.

Skills Required: Rings and joins.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Rings, joins and optional beads.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Size 10 or 20 with 72 beads added to the shuttle thread. Beads are optional. No Kit.

Martha's Nellie's Angel (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Students will make an angel adapted from a vintage motif

Skills Required: Rings, split rings, chains, joins

Methods or Techniques for Class: Using second shuttle to throw off a ring

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles, thread any size. No Kit.

Preparation: Wind 2 shuttles CTM. For size 20 thread,
Shuttle 1 = 4 1/2 yards, Shuttle 2 = 2 yards.

Martha's Picot Angel (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Students will make angel with lots of techniques, learning use of “sliding picot gauge” for graduated picots

Skills Required: Rings, split rings, Josephine knot/rings, kchains, joins

Methods or Techniques for Class: Folded rings, graduated picots made with sliding gauge

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles wound CTM. Cardstock sliding picot gauges will be provided. No Kit to purchase.

Preparation: bring shuttles wound CTM, with size 20 thread, Shuttle 1 = 2 ½ yards, Shuttle 2 = 2 yards.

Martha's Simple Hairpin Lace Angel (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Students will learn to add tatting to hairpin lace to make angel. The making of hairpin lace will be demonstrated.

Skills Required: Basic rings, chains, joins

Methods or Techniques for Class: Joining to hairpin lace

Materials Needed and Preparation: 1 shuttle, thread size range 20 – 40, crochet hook if shuttle does not have hook. Optional contrasting or metallic thread for halo. Each student will be given a piece of HPL (white, size 20). Those who prefer to use their own HPL should prepare a piece 1 inch wide, 15 loops on both sides. Preparation, bring shuttle already wound CTM with ball, 2 yards on shuttle. No Kit.

We will have a few HPL looms for students to try and use for class.

Martha's Bead-trice Beaded Angel (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: To make an angel using long beaded picots and regular beads on picots.

Skills Required: Rings, split rings¸ chains, joins, prior experience with beads helpful

Methods or Techniques for Class: adding beads on regular picots and on long beaded picots

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles, 179 beads (on size 20 thread use size 10 seed beads and for size 30 or 40 thread use size 11 seed beads), small crochet hook that can fit inside beads, 5 safety pins or paper clips.
Preparation: Wind 2 shuttles CTM, with 3 ½ yards thread and 17 beads on Shuttle 1 and 4 ½ yards thread and 24 beads on Shuttle 2.
Have 138 beads standing by to use later.

Class Description and Objective: Make beautiful cards!

Cards and envelopes provided in class. Will have some rubber stamped and some hand drawn (hand drawn cards will be pattern cd). Will tat flowers and butterflies to add to cards.

For a variety of skill levels and will have finished pieces to take home.

Skills Required: Rings, chains, joins

Methods or Techniques for Class: Multi-media use of tatting, learn Josephine knots.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Shuttles with thread. Easy flowers can be worked with one shuttle, more complex with continuous thread or ball and shuttle. Butterflies good, too. ALL colors!

Nina's Classes are setup to be a series; each one building on the previous one.
REGISTER EARLY if you wish to take all 3 classes/all 6 sessions. Space is limited to 15.

Nina's Part 1-Starting from Scratch Bracelet & Earrings (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: This class is for tatters who are interested in design. The general and well-known method (beads or no beads) is ‘trial and error’ and we’ll speak about it too, but there are more productive and effective ways.

A few already developed and tested techniques and bead tatted elements will be covered in this class starting with the basic ‘how to’ and ‘how it’s going to look if...’

Be ready for an unusual format of the class; it will include a short lecture, multiple ‘hands on’ samples to illustrate the class, and one jewelry project.

Skills Required: You have to be very comfortable handling hundreds of seed beads and metallic thread.

Nina's Part 1-Starting from Scratch Bracelet and Earrings (L2) (S)

Methods or Techniques for Class: The projects and samples will include rings and chains with different bead placement (beads on knotting, core or both threads) and a few types of beaded picots.

Materials Needed and Preparation: One shuttle with post (no hooks or picks), crochet hook, small scissors.

Optional Kit for Samples: $10 for class participant, not available for non-participant. If you are not ordering kits for samples bring 2-3 lengths of thread you are comfortable with. Every thread length has to be 4-5 yards with 200-300 seed beads already on.

Optional Jewelry Kits:
Kit for Earrings $10.
Kit for Bracelet $15.

Every kit will include seed beads on metallic thread, printed pattern and general instructions, plus ear wire for earrings or a clasp for bracelet. There will be choice of colors for beads and metallic thread.

Nina's Part 2-Beaded Split Rings Pendant (L2) (S)

- Beaded Split Rings, number of beads and how to place them.
- Variety of beaded picots, when and how to use them in design.
- Bead Tatting Existing Patterns and what patterns are suitable for bead tatting.
- Finishing techniques: Hiding threads, Clasps, Neck chains

Once again, be ready for an usual format of the class; it will include a short lecture, multiple ‘hands on’ samples to illustrate the class, and one jewelry project.

Skills Required: You have to be very comfortable handling hundreds of seed beads and metallic thread.

Methods or Techniques for Class: The projects and samples will include Rings, specifics of beaded Split Rings, Mock Rings, and Chains (with beads on both threads) and a few types of beaded picots.

Nina's Part 2-Beaded Split Rings Pendant (L2) (S)

Once again, be ready for an usual format of the class; it will include a short lecture, multiple ‘hands on’ samples to illustrate the class, and one jewelry project.

Skills Required: You have to be very comfortable handling hundreds of seed beads and metallic thread.

Methods or Techniques for Class: The projects and samples will include heavily beaded Rings, Split Rings, and Chains.

Nina's Part 3-Blocks of Beads Set (L2) (S)
More Beads than Tatting

Materials Needed and Preparation: Two shuttles with posts (no hooks or picks), crochet hook, small scissors.

Optional Kit for Samples: $10 for class participant, not available for non-participant. If you are not ordering kits for samples bring 2-3 lengths of thread you are comfortable with. Every thread length has to be 4-5 yards with 200-300 seed beads already on.

Pam's Peacock Tail (L1) (S)

Class Description and Objective: To have fun creating a beautiful peacock for cards, pictures or clothing.

Skills Required: Rings, joins and shuttle joins

Methods or Techniques for Class: This is a simple pattern which uses a split ring on every other row. You will be turning rings and work which are techniques not done very often.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Size 20 thread CTM 4 yards on SH1 and 1 yard on SH2. No Kit.

Pam's Forget-Me-Not (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Tatting with ribbon is a little different than tatting with thread. This class is to teach techniques with ribbon as well as making us of the Daisy Picot Technique

Skills Required: Rings and chains

Methods or Techniques for Class: This is a simple pattern which makes use of the Daisy Picot Technique but is tatted using 1/8 inch ribbon.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 1/8 in ribbon and one or two Tatsy shuttles. Do not wind ribbon before class, that is part of learning to tat with ribbons

Optional Kit: $5. Includes one Tatsy shuttle and 3 colors of 1/8 inch ribbons.

Pam's Poinsettia (L1) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Tatting with ribbon is a little different than tatting with thread. This class is to teach techniques with ribbon using a very simple pattern.

Skills Required: Rings

Methods or Techniques for Class: This is a simple pattern which makes use of the Swirl join for the center and is tatted in layers using 1/8 inch ribbon.

Materials Needed and Preparation: 1/8 in ribbon and one or two Tatsy shuttles. Do not wind ribbon before class, that is part of learning to tat with ribbons

Optional Kit: $5. Includes one Tatsy shuttle and 3 colors of 1/8 inch ribbons.

Phyllis' Tatting Bug (L1) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Basic pattern to make a cute Tatting Bug.

Skills Required: Knowledge of basic rings and chains.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Will learn to tat over wires.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Ball and shuttle or 2 shuttles wound continuous thread method, size 10 thread any color.

Additional Notes or Comments: Wires will be provided for legs.

Phyllis' Owl Heart (L1) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Rings, chains and lock joins used to make an Owl in the shape of a Heart.

Skills Required: Basic rings, chains and joins/lock joins.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Shoelace trick, basic pattern with or without node stitches for outside chain, and lock joins or Catherine Wheel Join as an option.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Two shuttles, size 20 thread in white and a contrast color or two shuttles would continuous thread method. No Kit.

Phyllis' Onion Beaded Bracelet (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Bracelet made with split rings, split onion rings and interwoven chains.

Skills Required: Rings, chains, split rings, and comfortable working with beads.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Adding beads from shuttles, adding beads to picots before joining, interwoven (Celtic) chains

Materials Needed and Preparation: 2 shuttles wound with Size 20 thread any color (continuous thread method), seed beads (size 10 or 11), 2 split ring findings, 1 lobster clasp. No Kit.

Riet's Ineke's Owl (L3) (S)

Ineke's Owl! WOW! EXCITING!

Prep: 6 shuttles. 2 CTM  full with varigated brown; 2 CTM yellow 2 yards each; 2 CTM white 2 yards each.

 

Riet's Ineke's Bowl (L2) (S)

Ineke's Bowl! HOW CUTE!

Prep: 2 shuttles. Wound CTM and FULL.

Ineke used size 80 thread in white.The bowl Riet will have for starching is for size 80.

You may use any size, actually, and any color.

Sandra's Beaded Earrings-Blue (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Make a fun set of Nina Libin’s earrings! This pattern incorporates beads and split rings plus a swirl join. You can do this with one or two colored of beads.

Skills Required: Knowledge of chains and rings and split rings

Methods or Techniques for Class: Learn use of beads and metallic thread in tatting plus how to do a swirl join, also learn Beanile notation

Materials Needed and Preparation: For a pair of earrings you will need: about 4 yards of 3-ply metallic embroidery thread, 348 (350) seed beads size 11, earring findings, and two shuttles.

For two color earrings you’ll need 228 (230) beads of color A and 120 beads of color B. Load Sh. A with 114 beads (color A) on 1 yard of thread and Sh. B with 60 beads (color B) on ¾ of a yard of thread, wound CTM.

Sandra's Beaded Earrings-Red (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Make a set of Nina Libin’s earrings – they’re easier than you think! This one incorporates beads and one split ring plus a swirl join.

Skills Required: Knowledge of chains and rings and split rings

Methods or Techniques for Class: Learn use of beads and metallic thread in tatting plus how to do a swirl join, also learn Beanile notation.

Materials Needed and Preparation: For a pair of earrings you will need: about 4 yards of 3-ply metallic embroidery thread, 268 (270) seed beads size 11, earring findings, and two shuttles. Load shuttle one with 77 seed beads on a yard of thread and shuttle two with 57 seed beads on a yard of thread, wound CTM.

Shawna's Beaded Rose Necklace (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: The goals for this class are: to learn the handling of a lot of beads, reading standard notation for Bead Tatting, and following both written pattern and diagrams. It is designed to be mostly finished in class by students familiar with BEANILE Lace techniques. Those who are new to this technique will be able to get a good start on this project to finish later.

Skills Required: Chains and joins.

Methods or Techniques for Class: The techniques include arranging blocks of beads into simple patterns of chains, and the use of jewelry connectors.

Materials Needed and Preparation:
9 yards of Nylon Upholstery Thread (Coats Extra Strong)
800 - #11 seed beads (1 jar/18 grams enough for 2 necklaces)
9  2-hole flower connectors (3/4 inch in length)
2 shuttles
Optional Kit: $15

Tonya's Christmas Stocking (L2) (S)

Class Description and Objective: Teaching the concept of the magic thread trick, weaving in ends, and the shoelace trick.

Skills Required: Ready to learn magic thread trick, weaving in ends, and the shoelace trick. Knowledgeable and proficient with rings, chains, and joins.

Methods or Techniques for Class: In this class you will learn and practice the concept of the magic thread trick, weaving in thread ends, and the shoelace trick.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Wind two shuttles, one with red, the other with white. I am using size 20 Lizbeth thread.

Optional Kit: $2

Vicki's Little IMP (L1) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: In this class you use folded rings, beads and picot to make a little devil.

Skills Required: Basic tatting.

Methods or Techniques for Class: Folded rings taught.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Tatter needs to bring to class 2 shuttles, size 20 thread, 2 colors of choice, 4 bugle beads and 5 seed beads. No kit.

Vicki's Pauline Angel (L2) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: Make a bead Angel for a necklace or just to hang in the window. Pauline’s Angel uses different sizes of beads and beading techniques to make a pretty angel.

Skills Required: Rings and Chains

Methods or Techniques for Class: Different beading techniques will be taught in class. i.e. long beaded picots, mock rings with beads.

Materials Needed and Preparation: Tatter needs to bring to class 3 yards size 40 or 30 thread for skirt and body and 1.5 yards thread size 40 or 30 for wings and head.

Optional Kit: $3. Contents: 29 size 10 seed beads in color of choice, 8 size 10 seed beads in gold 8mm bead, 6mm bead, 4 mm pearl bead, 4 4mm crystals and 2 paperclips.

Vicki's Happy Egg (L1) (S&N)

Class Description and Objective: This project can be made as easy or as challenging as you like.  It can be modified on the spot.  Vicki will provide the eggs if you don’t have any around…a little off season but fun!

Skills Required:  Rings and Chains…or just rings if that’s all you know.

Methods or Techniques for Class:  simple beading, rings only pattern, whip stitching.

Materials Needed and Preparation:  1 shuttle or needle, 5 Colors thread, any size thread will work. 
Middle Motif: 36 beads spaced along 5 yards of thread on 1 shuttle
Bottom Motif: 3 yards total with 1.5 yards on shuttle CTM to ball (remaining thread)
Top Motif: 1.5 yards for 6 ring flower.
1 yard for top lacing
1 yard for bottom lacing
Needle for lacing
Any Egg will do and Vicki will bring lots to class.
