Class Description and Objective: This necklace is mostly about design and how to incorporate different BEANILE techniques in a complete necklace.  This seems like a very big project but it is mostly “blocks” of beads were there are much less stitches than beads.
Skills Required: Rings, chains, floating rings, split rings, lock joins, swirl joins and use of beads in tatting.
Methods or Technique for Class: Blocks of beads, symmetric beaded split rings, “trillium” picots, and swirl joins in a continuous two row pattern using metallic thread.
Materials Needed and Preparation: Two shuttles or Tatting needle #8. For the full-length necklace you will need 30+ yards of 3-ply metallic embroidery thread, about 2000 seed beads size 11, two tatting shuttles or one tatting needle #8.

Notes on Kit: Kit is optional but highly recommended.  Cost of the kit $30.00 for participants or $35.00 for non-participants. Kit will include 3-ply metallic embroidery thread with pre-loaded and pre-sorted seed beads, beading needles, necklace clasp, printed pattern, and general finishing instructions for any BEANILE project.

Methods or Technique for Class: Lock chains, bead tatting asymmetric split rings.
Materials Needed and Preparation:
2 shuttles or needle size #8.
Size 11 seed beads.
About 9-10 yards of 3-ply metallic embroidery thread loaded on 2 shuttles CTM: (about 7 1/2 to 8 yards on Shuttle 1 with about 490 to 500 beads, and on Shuttle 2, about 3 yards with about 110-115 beads). Additional thread and beads required for the second half of the neck chain (amount to be determined by how long you want the chain).
For the second half of the neck chain, plan on 3 1/2 to 4 yards of thread loaded on 2 shuttles CTM: 2 (or more) yards on Shuttle A with 50 to 70 beads (depending on the length of your neck chain) and 1 1/2 (or more) yards on Shuttle B with 50 to 70 beads.

Notes on Kit: Kit is optional. Cost of the kit is $20.00 for participants and $25.00 for non-participants. Every kit will include beads on thread, findings for the project, and beading needle to hide the tails plus printed patterns, general instructions on bead tatting and notes about the specific technique.
